Get your breakfast before 9 am and get ready to explore Kathmandu. We’ll start by visiting Swayambhunath stupa also known as the monkey temple by tourists. There are lots of monkeys around the stupa so tourists started calling it a monkey temple. It is one of the important Buddhist pilgrimage sites but also Hindu devotees also goes to there for ritual of Hindu Goddess Harati Mata (goddess of baby). The golden spire of the 5th-century Swayambhunath stupa is considered a holy site by Tibetian Buddhists also. It is adorned with colorful prayer flags. It also offers fantastic views over the city of Kathmandu.
Next, we’ll visit Hanumandhoka durbar square also known as Kathmandu Durbar Square. It was the royal palace of the Malla dynasty before the unification of Nepal.
You will then continue to the holiest, one of the most important Hindu pilgrimage sites for Hindus around the globe, the Pashupatinath temple. Here you’ll find many new things to you. There is an open cremation place along the holy Bagmati river.
The Boudhanath Stupa is one of the major attractions for Buddhists from Tibet also.
