Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival
We will be there to welcome you at the Tribhuwan international airport and assist you to transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Kathmandu.
Day 02: Drive to Sundarijal and hike to Chisapani (2,175m)
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Sundarijal, a popular place for day hiking, small waterfalls during rainy season, picnic etc and it is located about 17 km northeast of Kathmandu. Sundarijal in Nepali language means “beautiful water” and it is the gateway to the Shivapuri National Park. Chisapani hiking journey starts from Sundarijal, then to Nagarkot. These areas are also famous for cycling. There is Sundarijal Hydropower Station and it also supplies water to Kathmandu. Sundarijal is an hour’s drive from core tourist area of Kathmandu. In Sudarijal we’ll begin our hiking journey walking up via stone paved stairs and come across the entry point of the national park. The forest is very thick with oak, juniper etc spices of trees, variety of birds and flowers.
At Chisapani, we can explore villages and spectacular views of mountains along with sunrise and sunset views.
You can get a magnificent view of the Langtang Himalayan range from Chispani. Overnight at a tea-house in Chisapani.
Day 03: Trek to Nagarkot (2,175m)
Early in the morning, we wake up to catch the first rays of sunrise over the snow-capped mountains. We’ll have breakfast with beautiful view of surroundings and continue our journey towards Nagarkot. This day it is going to be easier than yesterday as you don’t need to climb more and walking a flat land but you have to walk a bit longer today. We will walk for approximately 7 hours through the dense forests, you may see some beautiful birds and animals there. We will keep walking in the forest till we reach to army camp and then a path along the lush hills until we reach the Nagarkot. In the evening, we’ll view the sunset and panoramic views of the mountains from the view tower there. You’ll observer beautiful color of snow-capped mountains during sunset. Overnight Stay at a hotel in Nagarkot.
Day 04: Drive back to Kathmandu via Changunarayan
This day we will wake up early in the morning before the sunrise so that we don’t miss the beautiful sunrise. Nagarkot is popular sunrise view and wonderful views of mountains ranges. We’ll walk up to the view tower in Nagarkot to view beautiful sunrise and snow-capped mountains in the Himalayan panorama. Travelers can enjoy stunning views from the top of the Nagarkot. After sunrise view we’ll come back to the hotel, have breakfast and take rest for a while before driving back to Kathmandu. We’ll drive back to Kathmandu via Changunarayan temple which is an ancient, UNESCO listed heritage site in Bhaktapur. On the way, we can visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changu narayan temple if interested or if time is available. Overnight in Kathmandu
Day 05: Final Departure
Final departure with farewell breakfast, lunch or dinner with our representatives.
