Jamacho Hiking Non touristic area in Kathmandu valley

About ten kilometers away from the main city and situated about 2000m from the sea level. From where, we can see the exotic views of the Kathmandu valley. It is also known as Nagarjun mountain. Nepal`s ex-king and his family is living on the way to the mountain since 2008. Nagarjun mountain is preserved by the Government of Nepal as a Nagarjun Preserved Forest. It is also called Rani ban. We will be encountered pheasants, deer, monkey and other animals. We will be walking about three hours up to the mountain. From where, we will see a popular Buddhist pilgrimage site.

There will be many religious visitors once in a year on the full moon day of April or May because that day will be the birth day of Buddha. We can see the views to the north stretching, on a clear day. All the way from the Annapurna to Langtang Lirung, while the whole of the Kathmandu valley is laid at your feet to the south. There are a number of picnic shelters around a Stupa and a viewing tower.
